The DSV e.V. as event organizer of the trade fair is constantly following and evaluating the current news about the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and it’s possible impact on the PEST-PROTECT 2020 in Berlin, which will take place on 18th & 19th March 2020 as planed.
The German Government takes highest care to implement working quarantine measures to provide a healthy environment and the safest stay possible.
The risk to the health of the population in Germany from the new respiratory disease from China remains low according to current estimates of the Robert Koch Institut (RKI, as of 10/02/2020).
To avoid a spreading of the virus, good hand hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette should be considered as well as keeping a distance to afflicted persons. This particularly applies to regions with known cases of disease, to which Berlin does not belong according to current knowledge!
The exhibition staff members are required to follow the advice of the RKI, which are basically advisable in view of the regular flu epidemic at this time of year.
In addition the DSV is supporting a “No-Handshake-Policy” and will consider and implement further actions at short notice if needed.
